Summary 

The Microbiologist is responsible for carrying out all duties related to the microbiological program including plant hygiene and propagating yeast. Additional cross training will include other quality assurance analytical methods.  

Responsibilities  

Oversee all microbiological testing and analysis in the lab. Develop and implement microbiological testing protocols and SOPs. Identify and isolate microbial contaminants and monitor microbial trends. Collaborate with QA and production teams to ensure microbial quality and safety. Conduct research and stay updated on advancements in microbiology relevant to brewing.  Requirements Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in microbiology or a related field. Experience: At least 5 years in microbiological techniques and laboratory practices. Strong understanding of microbial physiology and contamination control. Brewery or food manufacturing experience is a plus. You must have experience with Good Laboratory Practices.  Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: cGMP, HACCP, SQF, or brewing certificate helpful.??  Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.?
