The role As the Microsoft Alliance Lead at SoftwareOne Japan, you will be responsible for building and furthering strategic relationships with Microsoft in Japan, driving joint business initiatives, and enabling co-selling opportunities. This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and solution architects, to enhance the potential of SoftwareOne’s partnership with Microsoft in Japan. By aligning with Microsoft Japan’s leadership and field teams, you will drive mutual business growth, enhance partner engagement, and support the execution of joint go-to-market strategies in Japan. Core Accountabilities Build and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft customers/partners/collaborators, including leadership, sales, and marketing teams. Develop a collaborative working environment with internal teams across sales, marketing, and solutions to drive shared goals. Drive revenue growth by identifying and demonstrating opportunities within the Microsoft and SoftwareOne alliance. Ensure consistent communication and alignment between SoftwareOne and Microsoft’s strategic goals and initiatives. Represent SoftwareOne in key Microsoft events and engagements, contributing to long-term relationship development. Job-Specific Accountabilities Engage with Microsoft’s leadership and field sales organizations to identify joint revenue opportunities. Lead and present alliance reviews to SoftwareOne’s leadership, ensuring alignment on partnership progress and objectives. Lead co-selling efforts between SoftwareOne and Microsoft sales teams, ensuring successful joint business outcomes. Collaborate with Microsoft Channel Managers and Solution Specialists to co-sell market-specific solutions and services. Maintain and track the co-sell pipeline through tools like Partner Sales Connect, providing updates on forecasts, market trends, and opportunities. Develop and implement marketing strategies for Microsoft events (e.g., Inspire, Ignite) to increase SoftwareOne’s visibility within the Microsoft ecosystem. What we need to see from you Existing full-time work rights in Japan Full professional proficiency in Japanese and professional proficiency in English Min 5 yrs of relevant work experience in Japan (preferably having worked for Microsoft Japan) Core Skills Relationship Building: Strong ability to cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners. Strategies/Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences. Team Collaboration: Consistent track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams and leading multiple customers/partners/collaborators. Analytical Thinking: Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Job-Specific Skills Microsoft Ecosystem Expertise: Extensive experience working within Microsoft’s technology, business, and sales environments. Co-Selling Leadership: Ability to lead and drive co-selling initiatives, collaborating closely with Microsoft’s and SoftwareOne’s sales teams. Marketing Coordination: Skilled in coordinating marketing activities and strategies to enhance joint visibility and business outcomes within the Microsoft partnership. Event Management: Experience evaluating and participating in Microsoft events, ensuring maximum exposure and strategic engagement. Technical Skills CRM & Partner Tools: Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and partner management tools (e.g., Partner Sales Connect) to track pipeline, forecast, and analyze market trends. Cloud Technology Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cloud solutions and technologies, especially within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Sales Analytics: Ability to perform competitive analysis, forecast sales, and supervise territory opportunities effectively.
