Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities

The Microsoft Azure Solution Architect will be responsible for the hands-on implementation, optimization, and support of cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The role requires deep technical expertise in Azure services, experience with migrating services from on-premises to the cloud, and the ability to work on complex projects requiring immediate, practical solutions.

He/she will be part of a European cross-functional team to plan and supervise tasks and ensure coordination.

Key Responsibilities

As a Microsoft Azure solutions architect, you have subject matter expertise in designing cloud and hybrid solutions that run on Azure.

Your main responsibilities are related to the following subjects:

Azure Environment Maintenance and Extension On-Premises Infrastructure Migration Azure Architecture Design and Implementation following Azure CAF Framework Application Consolidation and Modernization Hybrid and On-Premises Ecosystem Expertise Collaboration with the Project and Technical Team

Your responsibilities for this role include advising stakeholders and translating business requirements into designs for Azure solutions that align with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure. In this role, you implement solutions on Azure by partnering with various other job roles, including:

Developers Administrators Security engineers Data engineers Other responsibilities are: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure cloud solutions to meet specific business requirements. Lead hands-on migration of services and workloads from on-premises to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to best practices. Configure and deploy Azure resources, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security services. Implement governance frameworks for Azure environments, focusing on cost management, compliance, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Optimize Azure infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools like Terraform or Bicep. Hands-On Approach: Directly involved in the implementation, deployment, and operationalisation of Azure solutions. Provide hands-on support for CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps processes. Required Skills and Experience

Technical Skills:

Design identity, governance, and monitoring solutions Design data storage solutions Design business continuity solutions Design infrastructure solutions Deep hands-on experience with Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Proven expertise in migrating services from on-premises to Azure. Strong skills in Azure Networking, Storage, and Security configuration. Advanced proficiency with Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Entra ID for identity management. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps. Proficiency in scripting for automation using PowerShell or Python. Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).

Certifications (preferred):

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

Other Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong Communication and Alignment: Provides clear updates and ensures alignment with the project lead and technical team. Team Collaboration: Engages effectively with colleagues and supports a cohesive team effort. Proactive Engagement: Takes ownership of challenges, proposing and implementing solutions efficiently. Adaptability: Responds effectively to evolving requirements and unforeseen issues during migration. Organizational Skills: Manages workloads and adheres to project deadlines.
