Overview

Maintain and support the organization’s critical business applications through best practices. The Senior Applications System Administrator will be responsible for configuration, customization, ongoing maintenance and the day-to-day administration and support of ConnectWise, Microsoft GP, Microsoft CRM, Alert.Net, and/or reporting applications in addition to other existing or future applications as applicable to various business operations.  Guide and assist the applications team and user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.  This role requires extensive knowledge and experience not only with the functionality and configuration of the business applications, but also with the business functions performed by users of the applications.

Responsibilities Works on optimization of enterprise-wide business applications by providing support to users, streamlining workflow and improving and maintaining data integrityAdministers ConvergeOne software applications including setup and configuration of new users, functionality and workflowWorks with the Tech Support Team to respond to requests from business users while creatively resolves issues, answers questions and clarifies business processes, designs and develops enhancements, troubleshoots and fixes bugs and provides Tier 2 to 4 application support to end usersDefines and performs routine maintenance practices related to application/system administration (typically done outside of normal business hours) and monitor overall system health as necessaryPartners with assigned business units to understand business processes, and configures changing business needs as enhancements into new and/or existing solutions applying change management best practicesWorks collaboratively with IT and Business partners to maintain support and enhance enterprise business applicationsMeets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identifies and resolves systems issuesResearches and makes recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development effortsEnsures that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfills end-user requirements, and identifies and resolves systems issuesDeploys new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterpriseCollaborates in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applicationsEnsures that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specificationsWorks with company’s software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergenciesCoordinates feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and gives advice based on findingsContributes to system testing and user acceptance testing phase of development by evaluating new functionality in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendationsReviews and analyzes existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency, and then develops strategies for improving or leveraging these systemsCollaborates with business units and stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverablesEvaluates change requests to determine effort required to configure/update applicationsPlans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate toolsWorks with Project Manager to track project milestones and deliverablesManages proactively changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devises contingency plansBuilds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the organizationDevelops best practices and tools for software project execution and management Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT or related field4 or more years’ experience in application support and/or IT related project management4 or more year’s application system administration4 or more years’ experience performing or working closely with the business functions performed by users of the applicationProficient in Microsoft CRM, Alert or other ITSM application, Microsoft GP, Connectwise, Sharepoint, and/or reporting applications is strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent verbal and written communications skillsFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for IT infrastructure and applications supportThe primary functional of this will be for Microsoft Dynamics CRM System Administrator.
