**Your day at NTT DATA**
The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L2) is a developing engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their Cloud infrastructure remain operational through proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving cloud-based incidents, service requests and alerts.
The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA) and focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of clients' cloud infrastructure and services.
The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L2) may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

**Job Summary:**
The Microsoft Engineer Level 2 is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Windows servers , Azure Platform and related systems. This role involves ensuring high availability and optimal performance of the IT infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security measures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Server Management:** Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, including hardware and software upgrades, patches, and security configurations.
+ **System Monitoring:** Monitor system performance, perform regular health checks, and ensure the availability and reliability of Windows systems.
+ **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
+ **Security:** Implement and manage security policies and procedures, including antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection systems. Apply security patches and updates.
+ **Backup and Recovery:** Manage backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and availability. Perform regular backup tests and disaster recovery planning.
+ **Automation and Scripting:** Develop and maintain scripts for automation of routine tasks and system administration functions using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
+ **Documentation:** Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Create and update technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
+ **Collaboration:** Work closely with other IT teams, including network administrators, database administrators, and application support, to ensure seamless integration and support of the IT infrastructure.
+ **Compliance:** Ensure systems are compliant with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
+ **Performance Tuning:** Optimize system performance and capacity planning to meet current and future needs.
**Qualifications:**
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ **Experience:** Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in Windows server and Azure cloud administration. Also exposure to VMWare administration
+ **Certifications:** Relevant certifications on Windows Server and Azure Cloud
+ **Technical Skills:**
+ Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2016, 2019).
+ Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
+ Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
+ Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) .
+ Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and administration.
+ Understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
+ **Soft Skills:**
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
