Job DescriptionGDIT is seeking a Microsoft PowerApps Administrator to help support our DCMA SDLC IWMS.
As a Microsoft PowerApps Administrator, you will support the Department of Defense (DoD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of PowerApps environments including managing solutions, ensuring seamless integration with various business systems and enhancing user experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of server administration, PowerApps environments, and related Microsoft technologies, along with prior experience in federal projects.
How the Microsoft PowerApps Administrator will make an impact:
Manage and maintain PowerApps environments, including security, permissions, and data integration.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Customize PowerApps to create user-friendly, efficient, and visually appealing applications.
Develop and deploy custom connectors, components, and plugins to extend PowerApps capabilities.
Implement PowerAutomate workflows to streamline business processes.
Provide technical support to end-users and resolve PowerApps-related issues.
Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower users to utilize PowerApps effectively.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and integrate analytics solutions into PowerApps.
Utilize PowerApps and related technologies to implement modernization strategies, improving efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Work closely with IT teams to ensure alignment with overall IT strategy and governance policies.
Stay updated on Power Platform updates, patches, and new features, evaluating their potential impact on existing solutions and recommending upgrades or enhancements as needed.
Develop and maintain PowerApp deployment packages, PowerShell scripts, and automation routines for streamlined deployment and administration including backup to GitHub.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, upgrades, and patches, following best practices and change management processes.
Document PowerApp configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity of operations.
Participate in project teams, working groups, or committees focused on business process automation, digital transformation, or technology innovation initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Security Clearance: Must currently maintain Tier III security background investigation in order to obtain IT Level II access prior to start date. Must be able to pass background check.
Certification: Must have current and appropriate DoD approved IA baseline computing environment certification in accordance with IAW DoDM 8140.03, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, prior to start date. (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent)
Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
Year's Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing PowerApp solutions, preferably in Department of Defense (DoD), secure government, or defense contractor settings.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Power Platform components, including PowerApps, Power FX, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, and Power Platform environments. Strong understanding of business process automation concepts, workflows, and best practices.
Strong understanding of data integration techniques and tools (e.g., APIs, SQL, RESTful services)
Experience with Microsoft Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service).
Experience with Azure and related technologies.
Proficiency in JSON, JavaScript, PowerFX
Experience with Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, SQL Server, and .NET framework.
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in system monitoring and performance tuning, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues to ensure system reliability.
Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures for PowerApp solutions within multiple Power Platform environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Location: Fully (100%) Remote. CONUS ONLY. Must travel to on-site location in order to obtain government furnished equipment.
