ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Microsoft Security Engineer (Power Platform DOD) to join our team in supporting the Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM) Special Support Operations (SSO) DAR team (Data Analytics and Reporting).
The successful candidate will implement and maintain data security within Power BI, ensuring, ensuring that sensitive government and client data protection and collaboration. The Microsoft Security Engineer will work closely with government and stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements, define scope, and provide expertise on best practices of data security.
Your day-to-day work will include:
Developing a security architecture and enforce controls for Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages within a DOD enterprise environment.Implementing Security controls for Power Platform tools within DOD security guidelinesIdentifying & Accessing Management - Managing user permissions, authentication policies, and data access controlsGovernance, Regulations & Compliance - Ensuring security measures meet DOD/Army cybersecurity regulations and risk management requirements.Data Security - Workspace Roles, Row Level Security, Object Level Security, Best Practices, Permissions, Authorizations.Other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (scientific/engineering / IT fields)Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal with various levels of stakeholders (interactions with senior stakeholders)Experience with securing Power Platform tools in a DOD environmentExperience in Microsoft security tools, cloud security, and enterprise compliance frameworksExperience securing sensitive government data and managing security operations10 to 15 years relevant experienceDemonstrated ability to take initiative and be a team playerThe ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders across business and systems groups during the execution of a complex data & analytics solution development effortFamiliarity with the Power Platform environment and data policiesExperience in managing users and permissionsKnowledge of Power BI security and data governance best practicesAn active SECRET Level Security Clearance with the ability to maintain and receive TOP SECRET Clearance (required US Citizenship)*All employees may be called upon to provide their knowledge and/or expertise to proposal efforts including contract re-competes.
