We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Microsoft Server Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Washington, DC surrounding area.
Pay Range: $53 - $56**Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.**
Responsibilities:The Microsoft Server Engineer position will provide support to the Active Directory Team and for IPv6-related activitiesThis candidate will be responsible for all IPv6 integration activities for the Windows Server team, including providing support for IPv6 Testing, design, implementation, and integration with Windows Active Directory, MS ADFS, and Domain ControllersThe candidate will be working with a team of server engineers to troubleshoot issues for multiple systems in multiple data center locationsThe candidate will provide support, implementation, and design services for Windows-based systems across the enterpriseThe candidate will be responsible for resolving and completing assigned tasks and change requests and will act as an escalation for support issuesThe candidate will also be responsible for applying new solutions through research and collaboration with team members and will be advising on the course of action for new application initiativesResponsible for the day-to-day management of the Windows Server infrastructure, including oversight of Active DirectoryProvides leadership to the Windows Server team, overseeing activities within server imaging, and Active Directory managementResponsible for incident management as it relates to Active DirectoryPerforms advanced troubleshooting of complex system issuesWorks primarily in a virtualized environment
Basic Hiring Criteria:Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience administrating and managing servers and systems, cloud infrastructure, file and print environments, specializing in Windows operating systemsMust have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active DirectoryMust possess a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure or equivalentCandidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years and has the ability to obtain a public trust
Desired Qualifications:Expert-level knowledge of Windows OS-based computer devices and managing Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, registry, and files system security as neededStrong knowledge of Active Directory, Multi-factor Authentication, Public Key Infrastructure, and identity and access managementIntermediate experience scripting in PowerShell to automate tasksExperience performing dual-stack implementation of IPv4 and IPv6, ideally experience deploying and operating IPv6-only environmentsExperience performing dual-stack and IPv6-only testing of Windows Servers, Domain Controllers, SCCM, and other Windows-based systemsExperience trouble-shooting IPv6 authentication issues with VPNExperience troubleshooting issues with replication and service issues via sites and services in an MPLS-hybrid environmentExperience operating in federal government enterprise environments and applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) is strongly preferredExperience managing active directories for on-prem and cloud through MS ADFS, Azure, and AWSExperience with hardware and software purchasesExperience managing environments of 2000+ servers across multiple field site locations
