The MicroStrategy Architect/Developer position is a critical role within the IT organization.
This team member will take a lead role in supporting our MicroStrategy Analytic Platform, including ongoing system management and development of new enhancements and data sets.
Responsibilities:
Work with data and business SMEs to clarify and understand reporting and analytic requirements.
Synthesize analytic needs in cooperation with BI and Data Management teams to assess data readiness and propose a solution design and architecture required. Solution designs should enable self-service access to reporting and analysis within theMicroStrategy Platform.
Translate requirements into effective and impactful MicroStrategy dashboards and reports that enable information sharing across the enterprise.
Perform the development, testing and deployment of new dashboards, reports, and ad hoc environment enhancements within the MicroStrategy Platform.
Ensure the efficient administration, operation, and QC of the MicroStrategy platform.
Meet regularly with IT and business partners to review current reporting and identify improvements and efficiencies.
Requirements:
Significant experience architecting and administering the MicroStrategy Analytic Platforms. MicroStrategy 9.0 and higher with hands-on report development, dashboard creation, and mobile deployment experience preferred.
6-8 years of experience implementing enterprise analytic data mart/BI solutions in complex production environments.
6-8 years of experience developing and administering Business Intelligence platforms. Experience in performance tuning, application monitoring and support of production applications.
Excellent knowledge of RDBMS and OLAP technologies and experience developing multi-dimensional data models.
Solid experience with and knowledge of ETL development and data management/governance best practices.
Understanding of data preparation, data quality, governance and metadata frameworks.
Effective leader with experience in SDLC methodologies. Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork with internal and external stakeholders, and vendors.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 preferred.
Experience providing reporting solutions to pharmaceutical companies is an added plus.
B.A./B.S. Degree; Post graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering preferred.
