About this opportunity
We are now looking for a Network Engineer that will be responsible for performing design optimization and audit of a network to meet customer requirements. The position is applicable for design & optimization of MW Transmission. You will be engaged in the whole process from pre-sales of services and networks to service delivery and acceptance.
The role focuses on executing design, audit and optimization of services, where you will be accountable for part of the solution and of the service process. Hereby, you should be able to keep time, performance and quality according to Ericsson requirements and customer contracts.
What you will do
Network Planning and Optimization:
• Conduct link budget calculations to ensure sufficient signal strength and link reliability.
• Optimize existing MW links to enhance network performance and mitigate interference.
Feasibility Studies:
• Evaluate new site deployments and upgrades for microwave suitability, considering terrain, distance, and regulatory constraints.
• Perform site surveys and LOS (Line of Sight) verification.
Coordination and Compliance:
• Work with regulatory authorities to obtain frequency and spectrum approvals.
• Collaborate with project teams, equipment vendors, and field engineers to ensure project alignment.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, including link designs, site configurations, and performance reports.
• Track KPIs to ensure network quality and address issues proactively.
• Ensure smooth interworking with RAN, BSS and PBN network components
• Identify and flag operational issues and preventive maintenance that is impacting transmission network performance.
• Support RAN team in quality issues arising from transmission network
• Work with the central design, optimization and program management teams in matters of BoQ review, KPI Review and Governance
You will bring:
• Education: Academic degree, minimum on bachelor level, in telecommunication engineering (IT, Telecom)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in MW design.
• Experience in design and planning of microwave network ,
• Experience in back haul, long haul
