Integrated with our traditional engineering design and construction services for the transportation infrastructure industry HDR provides unique economic, decision support analysis, and modeling services to aid our clients with their short- and long-range infrastructure policies programs and investments. Our economics and statistics professionals offer decision support services that include policy and regulatory analysis, cost-benefit analyses, econometric modeling and forecasting statistical analysis studies in economic development, risk analysis, financial analysis, and related services.

We are seeking a highly motivated, analytically oriented leader to serve as our Economics and Statistics (ES) Business Class Leader for the Mid-Atlantic region. Their primary duties will include close coordination with the Mid-Atlantic Area management and ES Business Class leadership to:

Take responsibility for coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of ES business class staff in the Mid-Atlantic area. This includes developing staff, encouraging technical leadership and best-practice development, and recruiting staff to grow the ES practice.Participate in the successful delivery of project services that meet client expectationsCollaborate on ES business class efforts with Mid-Atlantic area operations, responsible for coordination of project staffing to meet utilization, ES business class financial goals and individual project goals and developing short- and long-term tactical plans for the ES group in the Mid-Atlantic.Collaborate on ES business class efforts with Mid-Atlantic area and national marketing, supporting capture planning efforts and participating in project pursuits.Participate in ES cross sectors and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards, develop products that meet client needs and market drivers and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviewsParticipate in ES cross sector strategic planning, budgeting and plan implementation.Perform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in economics or related field strongly preferredA minimum of 10 years experience performing economic analysis and/or modeling for the infrastructure industry strongly preferredPrevious management experience of economics and statistics staffPrevious experience with transportation-focused industryPrevious experience with matrix organizationsStrong communication and listening skillsAbility to handle multiple assignmentsGood leadership and organizational skillsActively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brandPreference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field 10 years of experience Committed to quality, improvement and HDR valuesMaintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience 
Experienced in development and management of diverse teams Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
