Mid-level Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) - TS/SCI

Supports United States Forces Global (USFOR-G) providing multi-disciplined intelligence operations in support of global United States (US) military and government operations, including, but not limited to, all Major Commands and Combatant Commands of all military branches. USFOR-G provides global intelligence analytical reach-back in support of Department of Defense (DoD), Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and Special Operations Forces (SOF) initiatives, missions, and crisis response as well as US Army Europe & Africa (USAREUR-AF) remote, CONUS-based, analytical support.

Key Responsibilities\:
•    Process personnel background investigations for special security clearance actions including\:
o    ensuring compliance with automated information systems security procedures, and assisting with the formulation of procedures when necessary; 
o    implementing and monitoring compliance with the USFOR- A/RS special security policies and procedures, and suggesting or recommending revisions when necessary; 
o    conducting and coordinating the training for special security representatives; and
o    acting as a liaison with Government, NATO, and industrial security officials.
•    Support collateral and higher access and badging procedures for any USFOR-G headquarters, in UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO coordination with the G2/J2/CJ2 or equivalent military staff. 
•    Assist, monitor, and advise on all aspects of security support, in coordination with an integrated military staff. 
•    Implement security activities at the Top Secret (TS) and higher classification to ensure USFOR-A/RS soldiers, DoD civilians, contractors, and all supported tenant organizations are prepared to operate in non- traditional environments in order to perform critical contingency tasks.

Required Qualifications\: 
•    Experience – Associates degree OR four years of experience applying security standards that apply to SCI Facilities (SCIFs) as outlined in Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 705-1, IC Tech Spec-for ICD/ICS 705, and DoD Manual 5105.21 Volume 1-3 
•    Experience – at least four years of experience in compartmented programs utilizing Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JCAVS) 
•    Clearance – TS/SCI 

Special skills or qualifications 
o    Developed SCIF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) - Experience reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings to ensure facilities meet security requirements 
o    Experience evaluating and processing approvals/accreditations for Tactical SCIFs (TSCIF), Secure Working Areas (SWA), and Temporary Secure Working Areas (TSWA) in a non-traditional environment to perform critical contingency tasks 
o    Thorough familiarity with all security clearance processes 

Highly desired qualifications and experience 
•    Education – Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree 
•    Deployment experience in Iraq or Afghanistan or equivalent experience preferred 
•    Completed Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 Physical Security course (or equivalent)
•    Completed Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) SSO course (or equivalent

Clearance Required\: TS/SCI

Minimum Education\: High School or equivalent

Minimum Years of Experience\: 4 years
