The opportunity will have you teaming up with other engineers and designers involved in nuclear plant electrical systems betterment and associated modifications, which will include the following:

Receive training and mentorship from experienced engineers in the execution of meaningful project engineering assignmentsBecome involved in power distribution designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation servicesTravel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs QualificationsWe do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
Essential skills and experience:
A BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required3+ years of experience in the design of electrical power systems in a project team environment with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new plants, or modifications or replacements for existing plants; experience should include the selection of equipment, materials, control philosophy, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specificationsExperience is required with electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors), equipment selection, and analytical calculationsExperience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering roleExperience in reviewing design drawings created by othersEffective critical thinking and problem solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsEffective working in teams and individual workDetail oriented approach to work
