Who We Are

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled Engineer 3 to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise to support the development and execution of innovative solutions that enhance mission capabilities. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, analyze, and implement engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment. 

What You Will Do Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical. Design and develop engineering solutions to meet project requirements and specifications. Conduct detailed analyses, simulations, and tests to validate design concepts and ensure system performance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems and optimize processes. Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and presentations. Identify and troubleshoot engineering challenges, proposing effective solutions in a timely manner. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes. What You Must Have 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field. Candidate must have experience in assessing structural, mechanical, and electrical systems for material condition on US Navy ships and barges.  Candidate must have experience in report writing and quad chart development is preferred. Candidate must have experience performing shipchecks on US Navy ships and barges.   Candidate must be willing to Travel as required (approximately 25% or more travel time). 

 

Bonus Points For Having! Prior experience working at a US Naval Shipyard in an Engineering Discipline/Senior Subject Matter Expert in HM&E systems Shipboard Shipcheck experience Planning and Estimating experience  Physical Requirements Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
