Remote Opportunity
The Mid-Level I Funding Representative shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position exists to develop relationships and to create and implement strategies that result in significant funding support from new and existing donors. The Mid-Level I Representative is responsible to make regular, personalized donor cultivation and stewardship contacts leading to increased giving and achieving annual individual fundraising goals and donor connection metrics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor Cultivation and Service 90%
· Represent the Navigators to donors, family foundations and organizations.
· Maintains strong relationships with the representatives’ portfolio with a significant emphasis on proactive personal communication, stewardship, and cultivation (phone calls, voice messages, e-mail, text messaging, correspondence, and handwritten mail) based on each donor’s preferences.
· Retains and lifts donor giving through (but not limited to) personal solicitation, acknowledgement, cultivation, stewardship, relationship building, ongoing communication, and protection of donor’s data, etc.
· Perform individual donor research online and via CRM tools to learn more about individual donors.
· Asks pertinent questions during conversations with donors that help qualify, gain insight, determine passions through strong listening skills
· Coordinate with the Ministry Advancement team on an ongoing basis for portfolio donor moves with our major gift officers to promote a higher touch and additional giving.
· Responsible to maintain an accurate record of donor communication, gained donor information and insight in our CRM tools.
· Maintains an in depth understanding and knowledge of the ministry’s core missions and offerings.
· Participates in departmental meetings, strategic planning, and fundraising discussions with the mid-level team.
Additional Responsibilities 10%
· Achieve personal results for the Mid-Level team for annual revenue, donor retention, gift planning referral and identifying and qualifying Major Gift donors for transition to the Major Gift department.
· Attend Mid-Level, Ministry Advancement and Development scheduled meetings in person at HQ or through Zoom or Microsoft Team calls.
· Responsible for submitting hours worked in the organizational Time Tracking system in Workday, due Monday at 9 am for the previous work week
· Participate in development events such as Navigator on-site events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings, Nav2Nav meetings or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
· Read spiritually and culturally developmental books and literature.
· Participate in the annual, organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR) process.
· Submit expense report as needed due the 15th of each month.
· Additional job-related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
· Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
· High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Disciplined, organized and goal-oriented
· Ability to work well independently
· Have a servant’s heart internally and externally
· Ability to manage time well
· Exhibits a teachable spirit
· Exhibits a high level of energy, self-motivation, and enthusiasm
· Awareness of own strengths and shortcomings
· Should be bright, positive, and friendly, conveying warmth and a genuine interest in people
· Prior ministry experience a plus
· Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel required
· Previous marketing and/or sales experience preferred
Compensation Range: $ 18.32-25.82/hour
