Client Reporting Technology (CRT) is part of the broader Schwab Technology Services (STS) organization within our firm. This group is aligned to support reporting on regulatory and non-regulatory information via various channels based on customer preferences. We are looking for a mid-level Software Development Engineer to specifically support the letters platform that sends communications from Schwab to Clients and Advisors. The Platform uses Java Spring Boot to process the logic for the communications and Exstream to render them. Therefore, ideal candidates will have proficiency with both Exstream and Java.

What you have

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a similar area of study3+years of experience in software development roles with focus on software development and data products3+ years of experience and knowledge in data integration design patterns3+ years of experience implementing software development engineering best practices as well as DevOps, CI/CD, Scrum, and Kanban3+ years of hands on experience in using OpenText Exstream for content creation and/or other Customer Communications Management systems 3+ years of experience coding in Java, building REST based APIs, using messaging and streaming technologies, and development tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, and Jira.  2+ years hands-onexperience utilizing Spring Boot, Spring Batch and other technologies to build data integration pipelines2+ years of experiencewriting automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests for data interfaces & data pipelines

Preferred qualifications:

Work with development teams at the appropriate stages to ensure the support strategy guidelines are followed and new systems or projects meet the Production standards.Constantly update knowledge repository, ensure information regarding any support related activities or issues are available and easily accessibleResponsible for servicing all requests for data or other activities that require access to Production systemsExperience with scheduling tools like Control-MExperience with other developments tools, such as GitHub, Harness, Launch Darkly, and MablExperience with NoSQL databases like MongoExperience with AWS, GCP, or other Cloud technologiesFinancial Services industry experienceAbilityto quickly learn & become proficient with new technologiesExceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, communication, and negotiation.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
