JOB SUMMARY

Advanced Nurse Practitioner will practice independently and in collaboration with Palliative Care physicians and IDT members.  While providing quality patient care, will establish and maintain appropriate patient/provider relationships with a wide variety of inpatient and community residents.

Minimum Education Masters of Nursing Minimum Work Experience 1 Years Required Licenses/Certifications Accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner Certification Current Texas Driver’s License CPR Specialty Certification Obtainment in first 3-years of employment Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position Understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/problems of terminally ill patients and families Accountable to Medical Director for clinical oversight and professional services Demonstrated interpersonal skills Effectively directs  personnel as appropriate Strong computer skills Research information Requires ability to handle confidential information Designated Driver Yes
