We are seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our team and perform structural engineering work for our projects, focused on the design of critical water and wastewater infrastructure for our communities.

Responsibilities Plans, monitors and manages structural engineering scope, schedule and budget for successful project completion under the supervision of a senior engineerPerforms quality management reviews of structural designs of own work and works with reviewer to understand and resolve issues arising from the reviewProduction of Contract Documents for construction of structures, including plans and specificationsConducts on-site investigations and evaluations of existing structures under the supervision of a senior engineer, including the preparation of reportsWorks with other project team members to understand and integrate their requirements into the structural designCoordinates details of design between various project design disciplinesAssists with development of entry-level structural engineersAssists and coaches CADD technicians in developing presentations of structural designsAssists with development of opinions of construction costs for structural portion of projectsAssists field staff in resolving issues and questions during constructionAssists senior engineer with continuing development and improvement of structural design standards, specifications, and typical detailsDevelops project-specific designs, standards, specifications and details for unusual or unique situationsTravel required when requestedMakes site visits to observe during construction and operation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis6-12 years of experience, preferably in the design of water and wastewater treatment structuresRegistration as a Professional EngineerExperienced in the application of building codes and code-referenced standards for design of water treatment and industrial structures in concrete, steel, and reinforced masonryMotivated self-starter with demonstrated experience working with minimum supervision to determine and complete structural engineering tasks while acting as part of a multi-disciplinary project teamComprehensive knowledge and understanding of specifications for construction using concrete, masonry and steelComprehensive knowledge and understanding of presentation of structural design and detailing in construction documentsComprehensive knowledge and understanding of structural design codes and standardsExperienced in organizing and coordinating work with both peers and subordinates, and in planning, monitoring, and completing projects within that planProduction and project management skills and experienceOral and written communication experienceSome public speaking experienceProficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams Preferred Qualifications Preferred education includes a Master’s Degree in Structural EngineeringExperience in the design of water treatment structuresExperience with MicroStation or Revit Pay Range$103,184 to $ 155,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
