This is a Mid-level Structural Engineer position that offers a variety of interesting and challenging assignments in structural engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity to advance your career. You will collaborate with a team of structural engineers, interface with engineers from other disciplines, and guide the work of less experienced project team members. You will be involved in the design of new nuclear facilities including Small Modular Reactors, Advanced Reactors and Medical Isotope Facilities, and in upgrades to US and International operating nuclear plants.  This position will enable you to:

Apply your knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete designWork on a wide range of projects for various clientsPrepare and review design calculations, develop specifications, and collaborate with designers on drawing developmentPerform the structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations using our state-of-the-art computer toolsTravel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience: 

BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program3+ years of experience working as a member of a project team in the design and analysis of structures, including both AISC steel and ACI concrete designsExperience with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYSExperience with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACIExcellent written and verbal communication skills

 Valued, but Not Required:

MS degree in Civil EngineeringExperience with design and analysis of power plant and/or industrial structuresOn site construction support experiencePE or SE license
