Mid-Level Substation Design EngineerJob Summary 

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer with experience in substation design. This position is in the Power Delivery Substation Department of our St Louis, Missouri office. Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (employee will need to live within driving distance of the office).  

ResponsibilitiesPerform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substationsOne-line diagrams, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates, and project schedulingOccasional travel may be requiredRequired Education/Experience                                                                         Ability to function as a Mid-Level Substation Design Engineer in our St Louis officeBSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) degree, from an accredited universityExperience in 15kV through 500kV substation design and IEEE/ANSI standardsExperience filling the role of substation design engineer for several projects occurring concurrentlyStrong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnelLegally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorshipDesired Education/Experience5+ years experience in utility substation design as outlined aboveEngineer in Training registration (EIT) or Professional Engineering (PE) license Experience in managing small project teams.
