The Boeing Global Services organization is seeking a **Mid-Level** **Reliability & Maintainability Systems Engineer** for an exciting opportunity with the C-17 Fleet Reliability & Analysis Team in Warner Robins, GA. The C-17 platform is a mature airlifter for air forces of the United States and allied countries. This position plays an important role in ensuring that C-17 aircraft continue to be reliable and mission capable. **Position Responsibilities:** The ideal candidate will perform reliability & maintainability (R&M) Systems Engineering responsibilities in support of our C-17 internal and external Air Force customers. Typical tasks include but not limited to the following: + Review, correct, and analyze field maintenance and failure data + Conduct root cause analysis and high driver analyses + Perform component and system level reliability analyses for various aircraft systems such as Engine, APU, Fuel, Hydraulic, Avionics, Flight Controls, Structures, etc. + Conduct failure analysis and trending analysis and recommend maintenance, operational or process changes to optimize aircraft systems reliability, maintainability, and availability. + Participate in Integrity Program Working Group Meetings, Maintenance Steering Group-3 Meetings, Crisis Management Team Meetings, Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability Meetings, Deficiency Report Review Board Quarterly Meetings, + Interface with customers and management at major design reviews to provide reliability findings and recommendations + Provide inputs to proposals. Review subcontractor’s proposals for reliability program **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree in a course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree + 5+ years of experience in engineering or technical field + Knowledge of aircraft systems + Experience in Failure Mode Effects and Criticality analysis (FMECA) and root cause analysis **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Experience with analyzing field data + Experience in SQL Server, MS Access and databases + Knowledge of C-17 aircraft **GENERAL:** All information provided will be checked and may be verified.
