Mid-Level Underground Transmission Drafter

POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Mid-Level Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Underground Line Department in our Hailey, ID or Boise, ID office. 

Job Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will work with underground transmission line engineers and drafters to complete the following activities:Working with engineers and other drafters in the creation of construction drawings for underground transmission lines including: plan and profile drawings, detail drawings, cover sheet, and notes.Performing quality assurance checks on construction drawingsCollaborating in both in-person meetings and virtual conference callsOrganizing projects and their subsequent files and documents in ProjectWiseExperience opportunities can include field visits and coordination with contractors and clients

 

Required education/Experience: Associate degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree)Strong experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStationExperience with drawing creation for Power Delivery (transmission, substation, distribution)Desired Education/Experience:     3 or more years drafting experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCADWorking knowledge of survey coordinate systemsExperience interpreting surveysWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong written and oral communications skills
