The Mid-Level Web Designer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s website and social media platforms. This role involves leading the creation of web content, ensuring that it aligns with brand standards, and implementing advanced SEO strategies. The Mid-Level Web Designer collaborates with various teams to develop and execute content strategies that enhance user experience, engagement, and overall digital presence.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain digital content, including graphics, web pages, and other online media to support the client communication strategy, ensuring published content is optimized for user experienceCollaborate with the Senior Communication Specialist and Graphics Design Specialist to plan and design for effective medium of digital assets and assist with development of digital assets optimized for web consumption across platforms (e.g., social media channels, intranet, public website, etc.)Update and manage content on the client internal website, ensuring it reflects current program developmentsImplement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve the visibility and ranking of client-related content across digital platformsRegularly review and edit website content for accuracy, grammar, and style consistency, ensuring it aligns with the organization's messaging and branding guidelinesCreate or coordinate the production of multimedia content, including images, infographics, graphics, and videos to complement written contentEnsure all digital media complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Monitor and analyze the performance of digital content using metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversions, adjusting strategies based on dataUse insights from performance analysis to refine and improve the effectiveness of online content, ensuring it meets stakeholder engagement goalsWork closely with graphic designers, video producers, and other team members to create cohesive multimedia content that supports the program’s goalsShare best practices, insights, and content guidelines across the organization to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality content production QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in web design, digital media, or related fieldsStrong understanding of web design principles, user experience (UX), and advanced SEO strategiesProficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media platformsProficiency in web design tools/software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/CSS, JavaScript)Familiarity with SEO strategies, content management systems, and social media platformsEligible for or possesses active/interim Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications
Certification in Web Design, Digital Marketing, or related fields is a plus.Previous federal consulting experience preferred
