JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JOB SUMMARY -- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Our team is creating a new real time data visualization environment for JT4's test engineers, scientists, and analysts. ***About the Position***
We're creating environments to support timely decision-quality visualizations for our customer. The core of this work includes modernizing our pipeline to include event-based streaming data capture with web-hosted data extraction into materialized views, containerized back-end data processing and web-hosted front-end user environments; and all of it hosted via an on-premises compute/process server cluster. We're in need of a front end developer with a proven track record designing and implementing web applications to join our talented team of engineers and developers.
***What you bring to the table***
3+ years of relevant experience designing and implementing modern web applications Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with experience in front end technologies such as React, Vue, Svelte, or related frameworks Practical knowledge of back-end solution design using Node, Python, and/or Java Experience working in a DevOps / CI-CD environment using agile methodologies and tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.***Bonus Experience***
5+ years of modern web application development experience Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes Experience optimizing computationally intensive web applications for performance Knowledge of server technologies including Node.js and Apache Understanding of telemetry data processing and storageREQUIREMENTS -- EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
One of the following educational requirements must be met for this position:
A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of four years of related experience A master's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of two years of experience A PhD in an associated discipline In addition, a Mid Level Web Developer must possess the following qualifications: Experience with computer-based systems and applications Programming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasks Familiarity with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniques Experience with systems engineering and software development lifecycles Effective oral and written communication skills Good planning/organizational skillsSALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $91,000 to $140,000 annually.

JT4 LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; and constant mental alertness are required. Travel to remote company work locations may be required.
