Middle School Counselor
Job Description : We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Middle School Counselor to join our team at an amazing district in Aurora, Colorado. In this role, you will support middle school students' academic, emotional, and social development through individualized counseling, group activities, and collaborative programs. Your efforts will help create a safe and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.   Responsibilities : + Provide one-on-one and small group counseling to address students' personal, academic, and social challenges. + Develop and implement school-wide programs to promote mental health awareness, emotional regulation, and positive peer relationships. + Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create individualized plans that support students' needs. + Assist students with academic planning, goal-setting, and career exploration. + Mediate conflicts between students and help resolve issues constructively. + Monitor and assess students’ progress, maintaining accurate records and confidentiality. + Coordinate with community resources to connect families with additional support services as needed. + Participate in school events, professional development, and team meetings. Qualifications : + Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field. + Valid Colorado School Counselor License or eligibility to obtain licensure. + Previous experience working with middle school students is preferred. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and staff. + Knowledge of adolescent development, mental health issues, and crisis intervention techniques. + Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. Compensation: Full salary paid weekly ranging from $60,000–$85,000, based on experience.
