Job Description As an Infrastructure Engineering Advisor with a focus on middleware-tier platforms, your role would involve providing operational support for the software & hardware infrastructure that supports applications and services for end-users. You will be designing, implementing, and maintaining middleware-tier solutions, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, and ensuring optimal performance & availability of the systems. The candidate must work closely with developers, system administrators, and other IT teams to deploy and manage the middleware platforms. These may be application servers, message brokers and API Gateways. Overall, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day support and maintenance of critical Middleware Infrastructure; including but not limited to tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting production issues, issue resolution, and escalation. Other responsibilities include root cause analysis, management communication, and client relationship management in partnership with Production Support team members. In depth functional knowledge of the products supported and interdependencies. This position is required to work with internal and external vendor teams to resolve production issues. Required to participate in after-hours support duties on a rotating, on call support schedule. Utilize monitoring tools and assist in the creation of pro-active monitoring practices to ensure system availability, functionality, and performance. Skills and Requirements * 5+ Years of experience implementing and/or supporting middleware. * 5+ infrastructure products and/or application environments on Linux * 5+ Windows, and/or Unix platforms * Experience with bash scripting, ansible or terraform for containerization.  - To get an understanding of where their automation skillset is , how they build IAC (infrastructure as code) * Experience with orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes * EKS and OpenShift Experience administering and configuring one or more middleware products. * Experience managing caching solutions such as Redis Enterprise * Experience managing API Gateways such as AWS API Gateway, Layer7, Kong Gateway or Gloo. (Kong is the preference) * Experience managing large and complex end to end transaction processing shared services.
