General Summary
Provides a safe, secure and therapeutic environment for, and responds to the needs of patients, employees, visitors and other customers of the Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.

Demonstrates leadership through collaboration with other team members, maintaining positive solution-focused communication, taking initiative, leading by example, demonstrating open and consistent communication, understanding of diagnosis and clinical interventions, and investing in the development of growth of staff and the program. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Maintains proficiency in de-escalation principals; Establishes and maintains positive therapeutic relationships with patients. Demonstrates commitment to patients, visitors and other staff by complying with all applicable safety regulations, identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety, and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards. Attends scheduled meetings as required. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops; Demonstrates knowledge of the patient population. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.Required for All Jobs:

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Work Experience:
Less than 1 year Relevant experience. Required Behavioral, criminal justice, mental health, or social sciences experience. PreferredLicenses:
Basic Life Support Upon Hire RequiredCourses and Training:
Milieu management/de-escalation training. within 60 days RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.
