The Milieu Supervisor works with their team to provide a holistic, humanizing, and empowering learning environment for students. The Milieu Supervisor provides leadership to teams around student interventions, crisis management, and the daily operations of the classroom and school team. This position provides development to School-Based Counselors around professional duties and the implementation of the school program.

Responsibilities Work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team with teachers, therapists, and other specialists/educational staffFoster strong therapeutic relationships with students that support engagement at school and in progress towards individualized goalsProvide effective onboarding, supervision, and professional development of School-Based CounselorsProvide leadership to other staff in implementing the therapeutic-behavioral program, including fostering a strong classroom community, maintaining consistent classroom procedures and routines, and utilizing varied group and individualized interventions that promote student academic learning and personal growthOversee implementation of students’ Behavior Intervention Plans per students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Provide supervision to ensure a safe environment, overseeing crisis management and adjusting staffing as necessaryUtilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's crisis response trainingThis may include intervening with the clients' behavioral program through physical management of the clients, if applicable Training in additional crisis intervention modalities may be requiredContribute to a strong school culture by participating in or leading small group, classroom or schoolwide activities for students that celebrate success and promote joyCommunicate effectively with families and all others involved in the daily life of the student, including other Seneca programs or outside agenciesComplete and monitor team completion of required data collection and service documentation to measure the effectiveness of services, inform team decision making, and/or engage in service billingTransport clients to and from school as needed with the proper documentation on file with Human Resources Qualifications Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree ORAssociate degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience ORHigh School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experienceApplicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families, working in a classroom setting, working in a mental health setting, providing academic support to youth, or providing crisis support to youthDemonstrated recording of at least two years providing effective behavioral interventions to students in an education or mental health setting beyond the minimum requirementAt least 21 years of ageTB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirementsReliable transportation to and from the school site and other occasional meeting spotsProof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination Schedule School based ScheduleMonday to Friday: 8 AM- 4:30 PM (ability to work occasional flexible schedule when the school needs vary)5 weeks of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and 14 paid school break days Benefits Starting range $29.71-$32.21, actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the roleSalary increase upon passing a bilingual language proficiency examSalary increases each year Comprehensive employee benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and fertility coverageLong-term disability, family leave, and life insurancePartially paid premiums for dependants 403b retirement planEmployer-Paid Assistance Plan5 weeks of flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays and 14 paid school break daysAbundant promotional opportunities, specialized training and support, scholarship, and embedded credential program
