Full Time Jamestown, NY **Responsibilities:** + Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic activity groups effectively. + Encourage and assist patients in performing activities of daily living. + Accompany patients to out-of-building activities and appointments. + Document in the medical record according to established policies. + Manage crisis situations effectively using positive approaches. + Demonstrate effective milieu management to promote positive patient experiences. + Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. + Provide clinical interventions based on individual client needs. + Coordinate patient groups and activities while participating in interdisciplinary meetings. + Maintain ongoing communication with appropriate staff to ensure continuity of care. + Perform assigned work in a timely and productive manner. + Complete 1:1 meetings with assigned patients to assess progress. + Conduct patient observations as ordered, adhering to all guidelinesAPPLY TODAY! + Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc.) from an accredited institution required. + Other fields of study considered with at least 12 credits in Human Services. + Mental health experience preferred. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Experience with therapeutic and leisure-oriented group/individual activities strongly preferred. + Physically capable of providing direct care to behavioral health patients, including lifting, supporting, and responding to crises. + May be required to distribute medications to a nurse at the bedside. + Access to medications is limited to their distribution to the nurse. **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
