KBR is seeking a is seeking a Military Air Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) on location in Reston, Virginia. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
The applicant will contribute to an exciting project to advance Department of Defense (DoD) capability to conduct mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of complex, adaptive kill webs. The selected individual will serve on a broader multi-disciplinary team of operational military and intelligence community subject matter experts, operations research analysts, and modelers conducting sponsor-directed studies and analyses using an environment and MS&A tool being developed by DARPA.
Applicant must have strong knowledge of current and emerging operational requirements and capabilities of the Combatant Commands, Services, the Joint Staff and other warfighting commands, as well as operational and tactical experience with beyond-visual range air-to-air and air-to-surface tactics, Air or Integrated Tasking Orders (ATO or ITO), as well as with joint and service military planning of the same.
Applicant will develop Blue Joint Air Operations concepts of operations (CONOPS) and incorporate emerging warfighting concepts into a joint, all-domain modeling & simulation environment. Applicant will assist with the development of behaviors and decision structures for simulation execution, and with interpretation of simulation outputs. Applicant may also lead small teams or tasks in support of the broader overall effort. The ideal candidate will have practical experience using AFSIM or similar mission-level M&S software.
