Military Analyst/RFMSS Functional Administrator (FA)

SUMMARY

Provide Functional Administrator (FA) support for the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS), and Range Planning and Geographic Information System (GIS), analytical and technical support for the Training Support Branch of the Training Division (TR), Army National Guard (ARNG) Directorate, and National Guard Bureau (NGB).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and maintain subject matter expertise in the day-to-day operation and application of the RFMSS program at the Training Center. Provide technical subject matter expertise regarding the integration of RFMSS processes and data with GIS, Range Complex Master Plan (RCMP), Installation Status Report (ISR), Army Station and Installation Plan (ASIP), Planning Resource for Infrastructure Development and Evaluation (PRIDE), Army Range Requirements Model (ARRM) and other systems relating to the Training Center. Support the integration of RFMSS and GIS for the Training Center Sustainable Range Program to include development of GIS data and database management. Quarterly reviews shall be conducted to validate data elements within the GIS Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) that pertain to RFMSS are consistent and accurate. Ensure compliance of the RFMSS database with business rules, processes and guidance provided by the ARNG-TRS RFMSS-Center of Excellence. Develop and execute local processes for the operation of RFMSS to support effective and efficient operations within the Training Center(s) in coordination with Training Center personnel and ARNG-TRS RFMSS-COE. Provide RFMSS training to Training Center personnel and unit customers. Attend individual and collective training events, meetings, conferences, and briefings at the direction of ARNG-TRS RFMSS-COE and/or the supported Training Center. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.

None.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering/Math or other scientific discipline. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Comprehensive knowledge of Army range operations and the Sustainable Range Program (SRP). Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with range operations. Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Microsoft Office Suite skills: Excel Level 2, Outlook Level 1, PowerPoint Level 1, and Word Level 1). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. Ability to prioritize tasks. Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
