As a Military Avionics Principal Project Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing engineering projects. Your expertise in project management, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure the successful execution and delivery of projects. You will report directly to our Project Manager and work out of our Phoenix, Arizona or Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality, innovative, and technologically advanced engineering solutions.
You will report to the senior engineering Manager of the Military Avionics COE and be responsible for driving execution on the existing military platforms. You will also be engaged with the introduction and adoption of new technologies in support of Honeywell 360 Display, Militarized Anthem flight decks, and unmanned operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n
• Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices

YOU MUST HAVE\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics\nMinimum 8+ years of experience in project engineering or a similar role\nStrong leadership and project management skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment\nExperience in risk management and problem-solving\nProficiency in project management tools and methodologies\nExcellent collaboration skills to drive successful project execution with cross-functional teams\nA strong coaching and mentorship skills\nSome CAM experience and proposal preparation experience.
