Military Campaign Modeler

The Military Campaign Modeler will work closely with USSTRATCOM to identify, analyze, and enhance campaign modeling data requirements, with a focus on Electromagnetic Spectrum EMS systems. The Campaign Modeling Analyst will support the Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Information, Analysis, and Fusion JEMSIAF initiative by researching existing models, developing data schemas, and assessing EMS system effectiveness. Travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
+ The Campaign Modeling Analyst will coordinate with USSTRATCOM to identify campaign modeling data needs, assess JEMSIAF's ability to meet these requirements, and develop a plan for data collection and delivery.
+ A comprehensive analysis of operational-level EMS models will be conducted to document their functionality and data formats. Findings will be used to enhance data handling and improve integration within current models.
+ Researching and evaluating data sources relevant to EMS modeling is essential. The Campaign Modeling Analyst will determine best practices for integrating this data into models and document available sources in detail.
+ A standardized EMS data schema will be developed to enable efficient querying and transformation of data for various models. The schema will include EMS system parameters and effectiveness metrics, ensuring seamless integration within JEMSIAF.
+ The Campaign Modeling Analyst will collaborate with JEMSIAF analysts and STRATCOM modelers to establish a prioritized list of EMS systems based on operational and strategic requirements. This prioritization will align with military service needs and expert insights.
+ EMS system effectiveness will be evaluated, with findings integrated into the data schema. Ensuring accuracy and usability of the data for decision-making will be a key focus.
+ Information gaps will be identified and documented, with recommendations for sources or organizations that can provide missing data. The Campaign Modeling Analyst will also support advocacy efforts for data acquisition to strengthen JEMSIAF and USSTRATCOM capabilities.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
+ Experience in military campaign modeling and EMS analysis
+ Proficiency in data modeling and schema development
+ Strong understanding of operational EMS systems and strategic requirements
+ Ability to coordinate with military and civilian stakeholders
+ Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies
+ TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for SCI.
