GE Aerospace is seeking an experienced Military Controls Senior Staff Engineer - Engineering Operations Management to lead and drive the implementation of the Flight Deck system within Military Controls. This role is critical in ensuring the effective management and continuous improvement of our operations through daily management (DM), weekly operating reviews (WOR), monthly operating reviews (MOR), action planning, Kaizen, and problem-solving reports (PSR). **Roles and Responsibilities:** + Drive the implementation, execution, and coaching of the GE Aerospace Flight Deck system to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement. + Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals and drive long-term operational improvements. + Lead and manage section-level operations, including strategic workforce planning (SWP) to ensure optimal resource allocation and talent development. + Oversee daily management (DM) activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. + Conduct weekly operating reviews (WOR) and monthly operating reviews (MOR) to monitor performance, identify issues, and develop action plans. + Facilitate action planning sessions to address operational challenges and drive improvements. + Lead Kaizen events and problem-solving initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. + Prepare and present problem-solving reports (PSR) to senior leadership, highlighting key findings and recommendations. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategic initiatives. + Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and capabilities in line with GE Aerospace's standards and expectations. **Qualifications & Skills:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred. + Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace or a related industry, with a focus on controls engineering and operations management. + Proven experience in strategic workforce planning (SWP) and operational leadership. + Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, including Kaizen and problem-solving techniques. + Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting. + Ability to obtain DoD security clearance. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with the GE Aerospace Flight Deck system or similar proprietary lean operating models. + Six Sigma certification or equivalent lean manufacturing training. + Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements. **Opportunities:** Joining GE Aerospace as an Operations Manager offers exciting career advancement opportunities.
