Job Description SummaryThe GE Aerospace Supply Chain Military Officer Leadership Program is a unique opportunity for top Military Officer talent looking to jump start their careers in Supply Chain & Operations. Qualified candidates are those who excelled in their military careers and are looking for their next opportunity. Those accepted will be placed in a 2-year rotational program within one of our Supply Chain / Operations functional roles.

Program Rotations are geographically focused in the Cincinnati / Dayton (Evendale, West Chester, Vandalia) OH area. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in three diverse functional areas of our Supply Chain / Operations division within their 8-month rotational assignments.

Job Description

Rotational assignments may include:

Shop Operations (engine assembly / test, manufacturing):Manage assembly/test requirements for development, production, sickbay, or compliance engines.Assist in the scheduling and execution of engine assembly or test, focusing on Integrity, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Overall Cost Initiatives.Material Fulfillment / Planning / Scheduling (delivery):Manage master planning, material processes, and systems.Prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.Ensure operational alignment with production plans and KPIs.Optimize inventory and process improvements.Demand Forecasting:Generate material forecasts to support the services aftermarket for a product line.Collaborate with services, finance, overhaul and repair, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate material forecasts.Logistics / Warehouse:Ensure compliance with regulations and laws related to the transportation of goods and services.Monitor and develop all transportation movements.Align and collaborate with functional delivery focal.Product Quality:Ensure compliance with quality standards for assigned suppliers or hardware.Support customer disruption Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and defect tracking, and drive resolution to actions identified during problem-solving.Coordinate with stakeholders on corrective action results from suppliers and drive improvements using supplier scorecards.Sourcing (procurement, supplier relations, commercial activities).Manage the buying process for a given set of goods.Apply sourcing policy and interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budget.Place and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs).Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, solve problems, and balance schedule changes.
 

Qualifications/Requirements:

Commissioned U.S. Military Officer with a minimum 4 years of service completed by start date, up to a maximum 12 years, with an Honorable Discharge upon completion of Military obligations.Bachelor’s degree from accredited UniversityMinimum of 4 years of active-duty status in the last 5 years of serviceMaximum of 2 years of separation from active duty; exceptions available for extenuating circumstances (Active Reserve Duty, Graduate Degree Pursuit)
 

Desired Characteristics:
