Job Description

Military Project Manager

Cyient is seeking an experienced Military Project Manager to lead and oversee our military business operations, with a focus on engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and aftermarket activities. This role is critical for ensuring high-quality project execution, strategic alignment, and fostering relationships with key aerospace clients.

Position Purpose

As an expert in Aero Engine product engineering and project management, the Military Project Manager will:

Provide leadership and guidance for task execution across the project lifecycle.Ensure the successful completion of high-quality deliverables, aligning with business and customer goals.Develop and implement best practices, standard works, and procedures.Serve as a trusted representative for Cyient in customer-facing roles and strategic discussions.Primary Responsibilities

Program Management & Delivery

Oversee the health, growth, and performance of Cyient’s military business.Create, manage, and revise OEM product-level projects and schedules.Provide detailed project status updates during engineering gate reviews.Drive on-time delivery of critical program deliverables by ensuring robust planning and execution.

Customer Engagement

Represent Cyient in customer executive meetings to maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders.Provide proactive support and consultation to clients, offering tailored solutions to meet their aerospace challenges.

Operational Execution

Facilitate hardware ordering, shipping, and tracking for various engine builds or tests.Own and execute export shipment plans, ensuring compliance with export regulations.Lead the completion of class I engineering changes and manage Product Lifecycle workflows.Conduct regular discipline health reviews to ensure high-quality delivery and team performance.

Team Leadership

Mentor and develop team members, fostering technical proficiency and career growth.Conduct proficiency enhancement programs to upskill associates.Collaborate with product and component team leads to track and close action items effectively.Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

15+ years of related work experience, including 5+ years in the aerospace sector (preferably in aero engines).Proven expertise in project engineering and task execution within high-tech and aerospace environments.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes in a matrixed organization.

Skills

Strong technical understanding of aerospace engineering and related technologies.Proficiency with Teamcenter, scheduling tools, and developing standard works for task execution.Excellent research, communication, and relationship-building skills.Adept at analyzing data and presenting actionable insights to leadership.Ability to develop tailored strategies in dynamic global service environments.

Other Requirements

Due to ITAR restrictions, US Citizenship or Green Card Holder status is required.
