Summary: Seeking Mill Operators with strong aerospace milling experience for B and D shifts to perform various mill operations and quality assurance tasks.

Requirements:

Strong Aerospace Milling experience

Ability to set up rollers and other associated components

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with annealing process

Proficiency in welding and basic mill operations

Responsibilities:

Work under the direction of an assigned Mill Operator

Master annealing process, setting up mills, welding, wall changes, size changes, line marking

Perform quality assurance tasks including taking samples, destructive test procedures, end cut squareness

Make routine adjustments to mill and peripheral equipment

Conduct hardness tests at prescribed intervals and adjust annealing accordingly

Maintain records of hardness tests and annealing adjustments

Take periodic micrometer readings of strip material and record measurements

Use pin gauges and micrometer to measure ID and OD of tubing

Visually inspect welds by using band saw to cut tubing

Perform post tube manufacturing processes such as cutting, deburring tubing, water testing coils, re-cutting straight lengths off the mills

Record production records including length, measurements, material details

Resolve routine mill problems with assistance from Mill Operator as required

Perform routine maintenance on mills and auxiliary equipment

Pay Details: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
