As a Mill Operator, you will be responsible for setting up Tube mill, attend the operation of the roll form tube mill that produces aluminum pipe and attend to the equipment operations involved in the production process. Duties Include: + Be mechanically inclined. + Load and start up tube mill machine for any wall thickness required. + Take samples and determine weld quality + Evaluate machine performance and make necessary changes to improve operations. + Knows and uses various stacking methods for different size pipes and job orders. + Check pipe for straightness, O.D., and length conformation + Perform machine maintenance including checking saw oil, and oilier, bar bearings, and adjusting brushes and gas tip. + Set up mill and presses to run varying lengths of pipe according to job orders. + Patch pipe and splice sheeting with tig welder as needed. + Check product for quality. + Complete daily machine reports + Follow all company safety policies and wear protective gear as required + Assist other operators in trouble shooting machine or production problems.
