**96799BR** **Job Title:** Mill Wheat Runner - Charlotte, NC **Department/Function:** Operations: Manufacturing, Production, Maintenance, Utilities **Job Description:** **Mill Wheat Runner - Charlotte, NC** Pay rate for Wheat Runner Operator: $19.49 **Duties:** **Safety and Health** **Duties:** Evaluate safe work practices according to ADM policies and procedures. Be engaged in plant safety culture. Take part in shift transition and huddle meetings daily. Actively attend all safety training and meetings as required. **Objective:** Ensure a safe working environment for both employees and visitors. **Production** **Duties:** Set proper mill wheat mix, follow production sheet to pull and temper proper wheat mix, monitor cleaning house to minimize wheat loss, operate cleaning house to temper wheat to desired level of moisture for optimal milling efficiency. **Objective:** Ensure mill has proper wheat mix, wheat has optimal moisture gain, and production schedule is followed. **Quality** **Duties:** Sampling raw wheat; proper wheat mix adjustments; temper water adjustments; setting and monitoring ingredient feeder rates; **Objective:** Produce a food safe product that meets the specifications of the customer. **Maintenance Repair** **Duties:** Participate in mill and cleaning house repairs to include: roll changes, sifter repair, filter sock changing, purifier repair, spout repairs. This also includes changing or cleaning blower filters and servicing hammer mill equipment. Take directions from Miller Mill Supervisor and Mill Superintendent. **Objective:** Optimize cleaning house efficiency and minimize unscheduled downtime. **Food Safety** **Duties:** Monitor and control cleaning house feed in stations; perform weekly magnet checks; and document all rebuilt and patent sifter repairs. Comply with all HACCP procedures while maintaining master cleaning schedules. **Objective:** Ensure a quality product through systematic procedures. **Sanitation** **Duties:** Follow proper master sanitation and all cleaning procedures within all areas. **Objective:** Control and maintain required housekeeping standards. **Required Skills and Qualifications** + Maintain a positive and respectful attitude. + Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed. + Exhibit consistent and prompt attendance in work history. + Work history that reflects an ability to commit to working with a company/entity for an extended period. + Work history in an industrial environment with over 5 years of experience. + Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to; prolonged periods of standing, sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, using cleaning tools, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 55 lbs. + Willing to work overtime, rotating shift work and weekend work, as needed. + Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements. **Specialized Skills and Knowledge** + Perform multi-faceted tasks + Mechanically inclined + Strong people skills + Organizational/Problem solving skills ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
