Purpose of Role: The Millwright is responsible for assembly, repair and overhaul of pumps, cyclones, valves, HPGR crushers, and other rotating processing equipment. They will work onsite and possibly off site to support Field services at mine sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Safety: Ensure operating machines are functioning safely and properly throughout repairs, modifications, and installations.Machine Installation: Install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.Preventative Maintenance: Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machinesInspect Equipment: Inspect and examine equipment upon arrival for irregularities and malfunctions and communicate with engineering, management, and other trades colleagues as needed to help determine a suitable course of repair.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Licensed Journeyman or Red Seal Millwright (433A)3+ years of post-apprenticeship experience in assembly, repair and overhaul of pumps and mechanical rotating equipmentPrevious experience working in a pump or valve shop is preferred but not required.Troubleshooting experience and computer knowledge is a plusFounded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
