Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Millwrights of all skill levels for projects located in Chesapeake, VA. This is a first and second shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $27/hr based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Disassembly and reassembly of motors, pumps, and generators up to 12,000 HP 13.2KW Voltage Troubleshoot oil leaks, vibration problems, etc.Perform test runs on rebuilt motors Miscellaneous mechanical tasks as needed Service paper mills power plants water treatment plants etcRemoval and re-installation of equipment serviced in shop: electric motors pumps gearboxes etc.Utilize basic rigging skills to safely move equipment on and off foundations and transportation meansPrecision alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment equipmentPerforming mechanical diagnostics on operational equipment utilizing vibration analysis along with physical inspection and visual examinationWorking on existing equipment in customer facilities performing in place repairs and field maintenanceInterfacing with end users / customers to assist in determining the cause of mechanical failures and to help produce proactive solutions to mechanical failures.Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent Minimum 5 years of hands on experience disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors, pumps, and generators Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications Must provide own toolsMust pass a drug screen and background check Minimum 2 years working in mechanical environments.Must be familiar with an industrial safety environmentKnowledge of rigging practices is requiredPossess a positive team player attitude and overall motivation to succeedMust be able to meet physical requirements for position including but not limited to ability to be on feet for an extended period bend/stoop/kneel as needed use of both hands and ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds up and down multiple levels of industrial environmentsMust be a good communicator, have a positive attitude, able to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic computer skills and the ability to complete written reports for work done on customers sites is requiredHigh mechanical aptitude is required.Company Details
