The Millwright, located out of our Aldergrove Exterior Door Division, will troubleshoot problems with minimum down-time as possible. This individual will utilize the application of common trade practices, which may include, but is not limited to, welding, metal working, machining, fitting, layout and electrical wiring, fault detection and material handling.
Responsibilities:
Detect developing problems through the downtime, quality control report, pm's, visual observation, and/or operators input.Log and track all maintenance requestsPerform and complete requested repairs or projects of the shift supervisor, and work orders. These projects will not require excessive material or time unless approved by the Maintenance Supervisor.Inspect the plant on assigned preventive maintenance basis.Work closely with the Production Supervisors to ensure there is minimum to none lost time for repairAdopt the philosophy that no job is complete until cleanup is done; This includes the maintenance shop, which will be cleaned daily.Perform daily checks of known problems and will communicate their observations by way of verbal or logbook and complete a daily log of maintenance events.Perform other duties as required.Knowledge

Strong communication skills and works well in collaboration with Supervisors and Team LeadsGood ability to weld and fabricate.Perform upkeep of the production facilities, dismantle, repair, maintain, modify, build, install, align, and move production machinery and systems.Effectively source and obtain parts and, in emergencies, fabricate a part to keep production running.Build or otherwise construct or accurately fabricate parts, shapes, mechanisms, and assemblies to meet client's specifications or need.Trouble shoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, some electrical equipment of all shapes and sizes located at our premises or at other Masonite shop(s).Qualifications:
Must have 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.Red Seal certification or in the process of earning certification is requiredMakes effective decisions with limited time and informationExperienced at hands-on equipment maintenance.Development, implementation, and monitoring of programs that assure a safe facility and work environment that is in compliance with all appropriate regulations--Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Injury and Illness Prevention, and Hazard CommunicationsExperienced at using manufacturing equipment controls and instrumentation to monitor progress and determine actions.Strong working knowledge of various quality and inspection requirements, manufacturing processes, and measurement techniques.
