Millwright

Help us set the standard for work as a Millwright at our Thunder Bay Grain Terminal. Your experience with machinery and equipment, along with solid workmanship and focus on continuous improvement, ensure the efficiency of facility operations.  You’re no stranger to drawings, diagrams, building plans and blueprints, and you always put safety first.

What you’ll do

Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain machinery and mechanical equipmentFollow established schedules, codes and procedures and participate in safety and regulatory inspectionsPerform facility repairs and provide technical support for operations staffConduct preventative maintenance inspections and checksComplete small-part fabrication using plasma cutting and welding equipment  

What you bring to our team

Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certificate with an Interprovincial Red Seal certificationMinimum of three years experience in an industrial setting or comparable service work in the industryDemonstrated knowledge of industrial machinery, including grain handling and cleaning systems, and a solid understanding of welding, rigging, and mobile equipment operationThe ability to read schematic drawings, equipment diagrams, building plans, and blueprints
