**Job Title: Millwright** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at a sawmill located on Mitchell Island. The sawmill includes a planer mill and a re-saw plant, with a total of 8 millwrights. The new millwright will primarily work in the sawmill, responsible for setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery. **Responsibilities** + Ensure the operation of the mill and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on all manufacturing equipment such as head rigs, quad saws, edgers, sorters, stackers, log cut-up systems, and Nicholson debarkers. + Complete maintenance following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. + Troubleshoot faulty and malfunctioning machinery. + Control downtime by continually improving all sawmill manufacturing equipment. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety practices. **Essential Skills** + 4th-year Millwright or Red Seal Ticket + 1 year of industrial maintenance experience + Reliable transportation (transit is challenging to the location) + Ability to work flexible hours and Saturdays **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 5+ years of experience in a sawmill or planer mill + Experience in troubleshooting, welding, and mechanical maintenance **Why Work Here?** This is a leadership opportunity with steady and consistent hours. The work schedule requires flexibility with shifts from 6:00am - 2:30pm, 2:30pm - 11:00pm, and 10:30pm - 6:30am, Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturdays. Coveralls are provided, but steel-toed boots are not.
