Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and trouble shooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment

Schedule: TBD – must be available to work days and nights

Salary: $36.15 - $42.55/hour

****Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.****

Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipmentTrouble shoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situationsCarries out equipment installations and modifications as requiredRepair parts in shopWork effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safetyFollow company policies and safety standardsWorks with other trades groups to complete project assignments.Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

Millwright licenseProven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting.Food industry or high speed packaging experiencePneumatics and hydraulics knowledgeAbility to read and interpret BlueprintsWelding experience is an assetExcellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.Boiler, refrigeration and air handling systems experience is an assetElectrical experience is an assetPLC training and experience is an assetAbility to work independently with minimum supervision.High level of self-motivation and initiative.Excellent written and oral communication skillsDependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position.Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends and overtime as required.Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers
