Follows safe operating proceduresMaintain 5S standardsPerforms PM activities as requiredCommunicates with co-workers from the previous and following shifts to discuss problems and concernsActively participates in continuous improvement activitiesReads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresFabricates, assembles and installs equipment such as automation, material handling devices, shafting and conveyorsInstalls and maintains building, grounds, utilities, air conditioning systems, and compressed air systemsRepairs and maintains material handling devices, including hoists, carts and forkliftsOperates lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specificationsRepairs and lubricates machines and equipmentOrders supplies with purchase requisition according to work order assigned through Maintenance SupervisorCloses out work orders upon completionObserves and listens to mechanical devices in operation to troubleshoot any issuesDismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective partsExamines form and texture of mechanical parts to detect imperfectionsInspects used mechanical parts to determine changes in dimensional requirementsAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instrumentsRepairs and replaces defective mechanical parts.  Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.  Lubricates and cleans parts.Starts devices to test their performanceRecords maintenance actions performed in computerized maintenance systemCompletes other tasks within job classification as assigned by Maintenance SupervisorAssist other associates as directed by Maintenance SupervisorSupports Engineering with projects

Required Skills and Education

EDUCATION:
