DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Install, maintain and dismantle machines, conveying equipment and mechanical equipment. Maintain and off load equipment, piping, plumbing and ventilating systems, building, docks and grounds.
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:
Machine tools, shop tools, various hand tools and measuring devices, electric welder, welding and cutting torches, sheet metal tools, pipe wrenches, pipe threading equipment.
MATERIALS:
Wood, steel, cement and other materials and hardware necessary to accomplish repairs, paints, pipe, fittings, valves and sheet metal, janitorial supplies etc.
Duties:
Install and/ or change the layout of machines and mechanical equipment in the plant. Layout and assemble as necessary, working from blueprints and specifications and conforming to building codes, safety rules and similar specifications. Perform duties such as: dismantling, moving, installing or repairing power shafting, pulleys, conveyors, track work, hoists and other equipment. Use hoists, trolleys, rollers, etc., to aid in moving machinery. Use wrenches, hand tools and powered tools in erecting and dismantling machines and installing new and repaired parts on equipment, pipe hook-ups, track work and conveyers. Use measuring devices such as squares, calipers and plumb bobs, in erecting machine foundations, in installing machines and equipment in correct position and in aligning power shafting pulleys. Perform required painting, cement, mortar, and plastering work and required carpentry work. Make crates, scaffolds, etc. Perform building maintenance such as repairing floors, windows, doors, etc. Perform pipefitting and plumbing work. Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and equipment. Operate and maintain heating systems and other related equipment. Perform on line modifications, improvements and fabrication; requiring machining or structural fabrication. Assist in repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems on equipment. Keep assigned area clean and hazard free. Ensure that all safety equipment, devices and guards are properly used and in place at all times.
