Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to join their team at a prosperous aerospace facility in the Cromwell/Wallingford, CT area. This position involves repairing and maintaining industrial machinery to ensure optimal operation. The role will be on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, problem-solving skills, and experience in industrial machinery maintenance, particularly within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Industrial Machinery Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, including CNC machines, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to prevent production downtime.

Machinery Installation and Assembly:

Install, assemble, and align mechanical systems and components in accordance with engineering specifications and safety protocols. Ensure that all machinery is functioning efficiently and safely.

Preventative Maintenance:

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment to prolong machinery life and ensure reliable operation. Lubricate, adjust, and calibrate equipment to meet performance standards.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical failures and implement solutions. Respond quickly to breakdowns, performing repairs and testing systems to restore functionality.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Follow all local and federal regulations concerning machinery repair, maintenance, and safety. Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industries. Strong background in repairing and maintaining industrial machinery, including motors, conveyors, and CNC equipment.

Skills:

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve issues.

Education and Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant certifications (e.g., millwright, industrial maintenance) are a plus.
