The Millwright at Rockingham Tissue plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our machinery and equipment. They are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of mechanical systems, including conveyor systems, motors, pumps, and production machines. Millwrights are skilled troubleshooters who diagnose and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain optimal production levels. Their expertise in precision machinery, welding, and alignment techniques is essential in preventing equipment failures and ensuring the safety of all employees. Millwrights also actively participate in preventative maintenance programs, contributing to the overall reliability and longevity of our equipment.

Salary range for Millwright / Mechanic : $22/hr - $34.71/hr based on skill, experience and education Schedule : Day shift, Monday-Friday; must be available for mandatory on-call rotation Profit sharing plan Telemedicine, Group insurance and pension plan with company contributions Employee assistance program (because we care about the physical and mental health of our people) Annual flexible reimbursement program
Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Rockingham, as the Millwright / Mechanic :
Dismantle equipment when required for repair or transportation and reassemble it at the appropriate time. Candidate will be able to read, understand necessary blueprints and schematics. Comply with other requests from immediate supervisor. Proficient in the installation, maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting. Ability to work with operations and maintenance on repairs to equipment that include but are not limited to replacement of mechanical seals, installation and alignment of rotating equipment, repairs to fans and blowers, repairs to reciprocating, centrifugal and screw compressors and pumps, basic knowledge of rigging and flagging.There's nobody quite like you! Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to read and write legibly. The candidate should preferably have at least a 2-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance / mechanical Engineering/ related degree or Minimum of 2 years related experience. Mechanical/Industrial or two years of experience in an industrial environment Must have mechanical aptitude. Self motivated and must work well with others as part of the team as well as independently without supervision. Must be able to work at a fast pace, stable under pressure and organized, while staying within safety rules and regulations. Must be safety, quality, productivity and teamwork oriented. Must be willing and flexible to do overtime for coverage even on short notice. Must be willing to participate in team work to do procedures, health and safety work teams, and any other problem-solving projects. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in a stretching manner. Position involves lots of physical work including lifting, bending, climbing steps, and standing for extended period of time Must have own tools
