A Day in the Life Video
Base Pay: $40.05 an hour for Millwrights enrolled in the Multicraft program. Singlecraft Millwright starting pay is $33.55. Millwrights can enter the Multicraft program in July/January after qualification to begin receiving Multicraft pay.

Learn more hereMillwrights spend much of their time installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment (such as cranes, pumps, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and automotive/construction equipment) in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications. This position observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble, dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools, and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, welding, rigging and pipe fitting. This position requires an individual to have a high mechanical aptitude and capable of running projects with little or no instruction.
Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere. Dependable job attendance is expected. Machine repair experience is preferred.Shift Information: 12-hour shift, New hires would likely be placed onto the night shift.

The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the factory. The environmental conditions can be hot, cold, and noisy. Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing, and steel-toed shoes.Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or the Workforce Center's Career Readiness Certification (CRC) with a minimum of Silver Certificate level Must be at least 18 years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations 5 years of Millwright experience or successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program in this specific craft Have working knowledge of physical properties of common metals (i.e. strength in shear, tension and compression, hardness) Must complete aptitude test and hands-on assessment administered by an outside partyGoodyear is one of the world’s largest tire companies.
